Many ELCI breakers are sold in SMS Enclosures. These are waterproof, surface-mounted boxes designed for boats that don't have space in their main distribution panel. Since the ELCI needs to be close to the shore power inlet, these enclosures allow you to mount the protection in a locker or engine room near the inlet.
