Voltage is an unreliable indicator of a battery's state of charge (SoC), especially under load or while charging. A Victron monitor acts like a "fuel gauge" for your battery. It uses a shunt to measure the actual current (Amps) flowing in and out, allowing it to calculate the exact Amp-hours consumed and the percentage of energy remaining.
