Most monitors use "coulomb counting" (simply tracking amps in vs. amps out), which can drift in accuracy over time. The Balmar SG200 uses a proprietary algorithm that combines amp-hour counting with voltage and current sensing. This allows it to "learn" the battery’s actual capacity as it ages, providing a more accurate State of Charge (SoC%) without needing constant manual synchronization
