Traditional solenoids often get hot and waste power while they are "ON." The Egis Flex Relay uses a latching (bi-stable) mechanism that only uses power for a millisecond to change state. It stays cool, draws almost zero power in the "ON" position, and offers intelligent voltage monitoring that a standard solenoid cannot provide.
