The main difference is the number of AC inputs. The MultiPlus-II has one AC input (usually for shore power). The Quattro-II has two independent AC inputs with an integrated transfer switch, allowing you to connect both shore power and a backup generator simultaneously; the unit will automatically connect to the active power source.
