According to PKYS technical guides, to meet current ABYC safety standards, your installation should include:
- An ELCI Main Breaker: A 30 Amp double-pole main breaker with a 30mA ELCI (Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter) trip to protect against stray current that could cause electrocution.
- Reverse Polarity Indicator: To warn if the hot and neutral wires are swapped at the dock.
- Wire Gauge: Use 10 AWG triplex wire for the run between the shore power inlet and the main breaker
