The VE Bus Smart Dongle is for wireless convenience but has very limited functionality.. It adds Bluetooth to your inverter so you can view live status, turn it on and off, and set the current limit from your phone. It doesn't permit programming. For programming or firmware updates the MK3-USB is required.
