No, not at all. The SolarSense isnt connected to either the batteries or the solar panels and doesn't regulate power in any way. It is just a measuring device that measures sunlight. Its purpose is to record the actual sunlight with the aim of comparing that to the amount of power the panels were able to harvest. Its used to design solar arrays and measure their efficiency
