The Arco 48V models (such as the 4601, 4603, and 4604) boast a heavy-duty nominal power rating of 8 kW. That translates into actual amps at different RPMs as follows:
Remember this is alternator RPM, not engine RPM. In boats the alternator RPM is usually more than twice the engine RPM.
- Sustained Idle (2,500 Alternator RPM): ~4,173 Watts / 78 Amps.
- Sustained Cruising (6,000 Alternator RPM): ~7,383 Watts / 138 Amps.
- Max Output (Cold, 9,000 Alternator RPM): Up to 9,630 Watts / 180 Amps.
Remember this is alternator RPM, not engine RPM. In boats the alternator RPM is usually more than twice the engine RPM.
