The smaller solar charge controllers, (MPPT 75/10, 75/15 and 100/20) all have a secondary load output which can be used for a street light. These are often used in bus shelters and similar structures. The street lights are programmed via the Solar Charge Controller to operate based on natural light cycles. The system uses the solar panel's input as a sensor to figure out the time of day and automatically turn the light output on at Dusk and off at a pre-determined time, all while recharging the battery from sunlight during the day.
