The Egis 2601 is designed to replace an array of separate components by consolidating four distinct functions into a single compact housing:
The outputs are divided into three groups that can be independently configured via internal DIP switches:
- Intelligent Battery Protection: Prevents a dead starting battery by disconnecting auxiliary loads when voltage drops too low.
- Power Switching: Controls when different groups of circuits receive power.
- Circuit Protection: Provides fused protection for up to 14 individual circuits.
- Ground Return Bus: Offers a centralized collection block for up to 14 ground return wires.
The outputs are divided into three groups that can be independently configured via internal DIP switches:
- 24/7 (Always On): Keeps designated circuits constantly powered, regardless of vehicle ignition.
- Ignition Switched: Powers down loads immediately when the engine or ignition signal is turned off.
- Time Delay: Allows specific electronics to remain powered briefly (adjustable from 0 seconds up to 10 hours) after the vehicle engine shuts off.
