There is no balancing you can do with two 12 volt batteries in parallel. They will always be at the same voltage as each other because they are directly connected together. If you have Lithium batteries then the BMS directs how the individual cells within the battery are balanced. In the case of a battery with an internal BMS this is all handled internally, in the case of batteries with an external BMS its handled externally.
