I'm installing a Balmar second alternator and it may be several weeks before my battery bank shows up! Will this protect the alternator until I hard wire the batteries into my sprinter battery bank?? THX View answer

I know this device is designed to protect the alternator will this also protect other electronic devices on the vehicle from the effects of "load dump"? i.e. electronic ignition systems View answer
